Novice Program Report

This season St. Patrick’s Rowing Club has welcomed 34 new rowers to the fold. New members are currently going through a comprehensive Novice Program giving them an introduction into skiff rowing and getting them ready for racing in regattas. 

Initially the Committee were unsure about launching the program due to the current pandemic situation but found a way for it to work. We launched a strategic marketing campaign and operated staggered open days for interested people to give rowing a go. The campaign was so successful that we had to close the registrations due to the volume of people that applied to attend. 

A huge thank you to existing members that helped out with our Open Days. 

As a direct result of the Open Days we registered 34 new rowers and we are very pleased that they have joined St. Patrick’s Rowing Club. They are a really nice group of people and are settling into club life very well. Some of the group will be going forward to row in the upcoming Wicklow Regatta.
